Our Activities
Nasib Relief and Development Organization (NARDO) is implementing a critical shock responsive program to increase community capacity and reduce their vulnerability by empowering them to be self-reliant in target areas of Gedo region (Dollow, BeledHawa, and Luuq Districts) by USAID’s Bureau of Humanitarian Assistance (USAID/BHA) funding.
Currently, Somalia faces Risk of Famine (IPC Phase 5) as the Horn of
Africa experiences an unprecedented four seasons of below-average rain
since late 2020 and soaring food prices are leading to worsening acute
food insecurity and malnutrition.
The activities focuses to support poor host communities and IDPs including vulnerable women, men, boys, and girls that are affected by natural and human-made hazards to meet their immediate WASH and economic recovery needs and manage risk without detriment of their wellbeing.
The purpose of the activities is to meet most needs of the community through improving access to critical livelihood inputs, training, services, and strengthening supporting market functions as well as meeting their water, sanitation, and hygiene need to enable the vulnerable community to be more effective and withstand the recurring shocks and stresses.
